1.0

Released: 2009-12-01

New feature

  • First release.
  • Serial bootloader.
  • Serial passthru over fiber with ELAP 1.0 protocol.
  • 1.1

    Released: 2009-12-23

    Bugfix

  • With intensive RS-232 passthru communication charachters were lost or even the link disconnected.
  • 1.3.0

    Released: 2012-02-08

    Bugfix

  • RS-232 commands are case insensitive now.
  • Settings are stored in internal PIC EEPROM now. This is needed because the flash memory (the earlier storage location) was completely overwritten with the bootloader and factory changes were lost.
  • 1.3.1

    Released: 2012-03-22

    Bugfix

  • The bootloader was sometimes restarted by the watchdog if the bootloader PC software wasn't quick enough.
  • 1.3.2

    Released: 2012-10-16

    New feature

  • Serial passthru with modular matrices.
  • There is no need to set adress 99 on the rotary switch to perform a bootload. This is needed because some models don't have rotary switches. The pressing of the button is still required to start the built-in bootloader.
  • {P_PRGRQST} command starts the bootloader. The PC bootloader software can start the built-in bootloader software without human interaction if a consistent firmware is running. Please note that this feature doesn't work with older bootloader versions.
  • EDID transfer is supported by ELAP. The EDID of the display attached to second output is automatically transferred. (RX100 versions have only one output, so that will be reported back)
  • Bugfix

  • An empty EEPROM could stop the bootloader during connecting. This issue is present in version 1.3.0 and 1.3.1 firmwares and may prevent bootloading.
  • Serial passthru was always used when the optical link was alive, regardless of the capabilities of the transmitter.
