New UBEX Firmware Adds Video Wall and Batch Update Features

UBEX is an optical scaling AV-Over-IP extender which allows 4K UHD@60Hz 4:4:4 uncompressed signal extension with latency-free multistreaming. UBEX units can connect to create a complex network with the use of a standard Ethernet switch.

An UBEX-MMU-X200 Matrix Management Unit (MMU) is required to control and supervise the connected UBEX network forming a virtual matrix

Time to Upgrade Your UBEX Firmware

Besides bug fixes and optimizations, the newly released firmware adds two substantial updates to the available features of all available UBEX units and the central MMU too.

Setup a Video Wall Quicker Than Ever

UBEX matrix mode is now updated with a Video Wall setup, featuring quick video wall installation with bezel and gap adjustment and cropping, including options for various layouts within the video wall matrix up to the size of 8x4, and also allowing zones within the configuration for smart management of display sinks. Setting up a video wall is easy: just select a size, drag-and-drop the destination devices, then adjust gap and bezel values to finish setup.

One Video Wall – Several Destination Zones

Groups of destination displays can form a zone. The video wall and the video wall zones can appear as single destinations in the crosspoint view of the Lightware Device Controller software.

Update All UBEX Units in One Go

The MMU device can now update the firmware of endpoint UBEX units in a virtual matrix application simultaneously, without limitation for the number of devices in the setup. Users can update all their devices with the push of a button, directly from the MMU.
