Big Picture Makes Television History in Australia

Big Picture helped make Australian television history with the launch of Foxtel 4K. Produced by Zennacle, Big Picture provided a 4K ROE Black Onyx 2.8mm LED screen that showed off content fed from Disguise gx2 media servers and live Foxtel 4K satellite.

The audience took a walk through television history with 18 televisions showing various Australian tv content from as early as 1950 to finally arrive into the immersive room featuring a 4K hero LED screen, Carbon 8 LED ceiling and various 4K plasmas with side by side comparison of HD vs 4K signal.

Content was played out of Disguise gx2 servers with 5.1 surround sound. Destination management by two linked Barco E2’s with EC200 controller and HDMI 2.0 matrix. Riedel Micron networks fed the tv history tunnel while Lightware fibre transmitters supplied 4K signal to various plasmas around the room. The Black Onyx led screen was driven by Brompton Processors and rigged on Kinesys motors to reveal a surprise musical guest Alessia Cara.
